Professional Learning Community
My internship spurred ideas of what I would do in my own classroom to encourage participation of students and of my professional colleagues. Here are some of my ideas:
Vision
Colleagues: Collaborate on creative activities for our grade levels to create unity among all sections
Students: Collaborate to complete learning "quests" in class; utilize digital collaboration for peer review and boosting morale
Goal
To make digital collaboration among colleagues and students the rule, rather than the exception
Strategy
Colleagues share online conference times to help students after school
Develop a Faculty Resources Google Drive to share ideas and to brainstorm new class activities
Measuring Success
To measure success, I will have open conversations with my colleagues to determine what does and does not help in terms of Faculty Resources.
To measure student success, I will survey students regarding their use of after-hours help. track and chart number of users, use pre- and post-testing to assess the effectiveness of online quests.
